Practical notes, checklists and decision methods.
A useful messaging pilot tests a small, named path between a client and server instead of assuming that two products sharing XMPP will behave identically. XEP-0198 describes stream management, while XEP-0313 describes message archive management; each needs an observed result.
Privacy design improves when teams separate three different questions: how data moves, who can read it, and how long information remains available. TLS protects a connection in transit; it does not by itself answer end-to-end encryption, retention or key-management choices.
A successful rollout begins with a narrow work situation: handover questions, incident coordination or a distributed team’s daily check-in. It gives people a reason to try the tool and a way to report what blocks them.
